Procedure
The Interline Ticketing Agreement (ITA) table is the list of airlines that have an existing ticketing agreement with other airlines.
To display the ITA table for a specific airline, enter, for example:
TGAD-AF
(where AF
is the 2-letter validating airline code)
System response:
Where:
Entry | Description |
---|---|
T | Paper ticket |
P | Prepaid |
E | Electronic ticketing |
D | EMD (Electronic Miscellaneous Documents) |
An asterisk (*) displayed in the table indicates that there are exceptions to the agreement, depending on flight routing.
Note: Airline agreements may not be reciprocal.
Do not confuse an interline ticketing agreement with code-sharing or operating carriers:
- Interlining is when flights from different carrier codes are mixed in the PNR itinerary. In this case, the ITA table is checked.
- In codeshare and operational carrier situations, the flight segments have the same code as the validating carrier but are operated by other carriers.
To display the interline agreement between two airlines, enter:
TGAD-QF/BA
(where QF
is the validating carrier and BA
is the second carrier)
System response:
If there is a ticketing problem, always check whether any flights in the itinerary are operated by another airline (codeshare).
To check the ITA table, enter:
TTP/TKT
