How to search for information in the EMD guide (Cryptic)

 

Solution

The EMD guide is used to search for markets and airlines that use EMD and to see what services are offered through EMD. 
An EMD begins with one of the following transaction codes:

• EGCD- EMD Guide Country Display
• EGVD- Viewing of the validating airline's EMD guide
• EGSD- EMD Guide Service Screen

Examples of EMD guide entries:

Entrance	Description
EGCD/Vxx	Country display for airline xx (xx=airline code). Provides a list of countries where EMD is deployed by a given airline.
EGVD/Ccc	Validating airline for country cc (cc=country code). Provides a list of airlines that implement EMD in a given country.
EGSD/Vxx EGSD/Vxx/TA	Service screen for airline xx (xx=airline code). Provides a list of EMD services offered by a specific airline. Add the following options to filter the list of services:  /RFIC-, followed by a Reason For Issuance Code  /RFISC-, followed by a Reason For Issuance Sub-Code  /SC-, followed by a 4-letter service code  /BM-, followed by the reservation method ( SSR , SVC or SEAT )  /TAto display only the services that can be issued by travel agencies
EGSD/Lnn	Service screen tracking entry for line number nn (nn=line number). Displays the details of a specific service offered by an airline.

 

1. To display the list of EMD services for a specific airline, enter, for example:
   
   EGSD/VLH

   CODE	Service code (4 letters)
   RFIC/SC	Code and subcode of the reason for issuance
   BOOK	Reservation method (SSR, SVC, SEAT)
   TA.ISS	Issued by a travel agent or not
   DESCRIPTION	Description of the RFIC

   
   Note: Airline agents can display EMD information only for their own airline. If airline agents use another airline's code, the following error message is displayed:CANNOT DISPLAY OTHER AIRLINES DATA.
    
2. To display only services that can be issued by travel agencies, enter, for example:
   
   EGSD/VLH/TA

   Note: For users of WebService Ticket_DisplayServicesPropertiesList, the option to display only services issued by travel agents is sent in status details /statusInformation/indicator. This enhancement is not available for airline agents.
    
3. To display the details of a specific service as a service list trace, type, for example:
   
   EGSD/L13

   Note: If agents know the line number they wish to access, they can go directly to the specific line in the EMD directory by entering:
   
   EGSD/VLH/L4
    
4. You can also display services by booking method. Enter, for example:
   
   EGSD/V6X/BM-SSR

5. To display services directly using the service code, enter, for example:
   
   EGSD/VLH/SC-FBAG

6. To display the list of services by RFIC code, enter, for example:
